Bezos Advice 1: Take Risk
“Take risk. You have to be willing to take risk. If you have a business idea with no risk, it’s probably already being done,” he said, according to an Amazon transcript. “You’ve got to have something that might not work. It will be, in many ways, an experiment.”
Going further, he added:
“We take risks all the time, we talk about failure. We need big failures in order to move the needle. If we don’t, we’re not swinging enough. You really should be swinging hard, and you will fail, but that’s okay.”
Bezos Advice 2: Be Passionate
“You’ll be competing against those who are passionate.”
This goes to show that no entrepreneur can actually achieve anything tangible if he’s not passionate about what he’s doing.
It’s passion for you business that wakes you up in the night to create a budget for your business. It’s passion that constantly encourages you to keep working on your business until it starts generating a full-time income and possibly grow into a billion dollar company.

“The most important thing is to be customer-obsessed,” Jeff Bezos said. “Don’t satisfy them, absolutely delight them.”

Your customers are the lifeblood of your business. For your business to continue to exist, you must never run out of paying customers.
